Featured Product Friday: NingXia Nitro and NingXia Red - Energy for the Win!

This is sort of a Featured Friday and Testimonial Tuesday rolled into one post. I'm all over the place this week, but I'm so excited that my White Knight Crunchy Skeptic has given the nod of credit to this that I have to share!

You've seen me mention before that the White Knight Crunchy Skeptic guzzles NingXia Red after a long run. WELL, he has been marathon training and been looking to add a mile a week average to his runs to get ready for his first attempts at a full. AFTER each of these long runs, he has come home to drink at least 8 oz. of NR (a healthy person would drink 2-4 oz. a day optimally). It may even be more than 8 oz - he drinks it straight from the bottle.
We started out getting 2 bottles a month sometime around last December, we are up to six bottles a month easily, and that number is rising as he gets closer to his goal and as I continue to use it to reinforce Mr. Magoo's tooth enamel. (Different story - and one you can find here.)

About a month ago we ran out of NingXia Red and for two or three weeks he couldn't get past 13 or 13.5 miles. He bought some of those Gatorade G1 things, and G1 helped him some, but still couldn't push him over the hump. So I bought NingXia NITRO - a fairly new addition to Young Living's NR line and what I hoped would help in place of the G1s. (Click the link to see a handy-dandy video about NITRO.)

Today was his first day using the NingXia Nitro for a long run. He drank the NITRO mid-run. Today was also the first day he completely blew through the 15th mile and came home full of energy and ready to head out for an afternoon with the kids and family!

Case Study #2 - NingXia for Weight Loss Help

My mom (also a Crunchy Skeptic) has been using the Slique Complete program for the last two months to see how it works for weight loss. (LOVE my Guinea Pigs!) The review on that will come out later, but as it happens, two bottles of NingXia Red come with the Slique Complete program. One afternoon, she texted me from work, saying she was very tired, and trying to keep her eyes open during an online training video that was 90 minutes long. She said that she and half her office were really struggling through this thing!

My first question when Mom messages me like this is, "What oils do you have with you?"

On this occasion, she only had her Slique Tea and her NingXia Red on her. Hmmm... NingXia Red is often used for an afternoon energy boost as well. So I suggested she give it a go, even though it was not cold yet (it was a new bottle, which is shelf-stable, though both the White Knight and the Mom like it better cold). She sent me two pictures:

And a note thirty minutes later saying that she was ready to take on the day and complete the (super-boring) training webinar! Yay! She did keep the ice to suck on through the rest of the afternoon because it was coated with NingXia Red and why waste good (as Mr. Magoo calls it) "Special Juice"?

So what is in this Miracle Energy Supplement?

We'll start with an overview of NingXia Red:

NingXia Red has whole Wolfberry/Goji Berry puree from the NingXia Province of China. This means Young Living uses the entire part of the berry for this juice blend - the skin, the pulp and the seeds. The blend also has acai blueberry, aronia, cherry, pomegranate, and plum juices, natural stevia extract, grape seed extract, pure vanilla extract, and (of course) orange, yuzu, lemon, and tangerine essential oils.

What are the Key Benefits of NingXia Red?

  • The essential oils used mean NR is packed with 93% d-limonene. What does that mean? It means  that NingXia Red is packed with antioxidants and excels in helping the body maintain normal cellular function
  • NR has a great and refreshing taste
  • The energy boost that I talk about above is one of the biggest benefits of NingXia Red
  • As an aside: NingXia Red is caffeine free, and Halal and Kosher certified
There are other benefits to NingXia Red that you can read about on the link at the top of the post - but suffice it to say that the best way to see what NingXia Red will do for you is to take the NingXia Red Challenge: Buy a bottle, drink 2-4 oz. every day for a month and see how you feel after that month!

And What About NingXia NITRO?

NITRO has cherry, kiwi, bilberry, black currant, raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, and acai blueberry juices, as well as Acerola puree, coconut nectar, Vanilla oil, chocolate oil, Yerba mate oil, spearmint, Peppermint, Nutmeg, Black Pepper and wolfberry seed essential oils. (on top of a few other things like the Nitro Energy blend - hit up the link for more, and for the little video).

What are the key benefits of NingXia NITRO?

  • Increases mental fitness, cognitive alertness, and physical acuity
  • Enhances athletic performance and endurance
  • Boosts energy and serves as a daily pick-me-up

And how did the Crunchy Skeptic use NingXia NITRO?

A lot of long-distance runners use the G1 packets mid-run to boost energy and keep stamina up while continuing to put one foot in front of the other. I used to be a huge fan of Gatorade - I really like what it can do to keep my kids hydrated, especially during hot summer months when we spend hours outdoors. While G1 and other "G" products are packed with what the body needs to stay hydrated, they are also packed with sugar and additives that are not so healthy, and reduce the overall health benefit of the drink.

The Crunchy Skeptic also did not like the "goo-ey" feel of the G1, and when he was not running and just re-hydrating, he didn't drink the G's, but Powerade Zero instead (Yuck). I did not like buying PZ because of the artificial additives and fake sugars included. I'd rather give sugar up entirely than drink the fake sweeteners that increase the toxicity of my body overall.

On his last few long runs, the CSWK (Crunchy Skeptic White Knight) has taken along one of the NingXia Nitro packets. They are small and lightweight (double bonus when you're running more than 10 miles), easy to drink without slowing your pace, and the residual garbage is easy to tuck away for later disposal. All important when running city streets and training for even longer distances or running for time. Drinking NingXia NITRO doesn't stop the CSWK from coming home and drinking a lot of NingXia Red to replenish his body's stores, but it does help him keep going when he is feeling depleted mid-run.

After using the NingXia grouping he has consistently managed to add an extra mile every week or two and is now up to 17 miles. The biggest "tell" on his opinion of the NingXia drinks? He tells me to make sure to order more each month! If he thought the G's and PZ's were better, he certainly wouldn't waste money on anything else. You can bet that we'll have these along with us when we head to Ohio for the Air Force Full Marathon later this year!

If you want to try either of these items, you can order them at my Young Living website. As always, the best deal is to get the Premium Starter Kit ($150) because then you can get the NingXia products at a 24% discount, plus all the other stuff you get with the overall kit (valued at $350). And if you don't like the kit and the oils, I offer a money back guarantee.
